‘Fresh’, A Social Thriller, To Be Next Project Starring Sebastian Stan
As you may have noticed, we over at Comic Years like to pay a bit of extra attention to the post-Marvel careers of our favorite superheroes. Not because we like to cling to their hero persona, but because their appearance in such a massive franchise makes us feel a bit more connected to them. So, we’re pretty excited to hear when one of the squad has an exciting new movie coming up! Our latest reason for joy is finding out that Sebastian Stan will be starring in Fresh, a social thriller that we don’t know much about… yet.
Sebastian Stan Starring in Fresh
Fresh will star Sebastian Stan and Daisy Edgar-Jones (Cold Feet, Normal People). Stan has had quite the career beyond starring as Bucky Barnes in the MCU. Other recent roles include I, Tonya, and The Devil All The Time (check out our review). Fortunately for us, he’s not out of the MCU woods yet. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, starring Stan and Anthony Mackie, will release sometime next year.

This upcoming project also has a few more players known to us. Lauryn Kahn (Ibiza) will be writing the script. Mimi Cave, who is best known for directing music videos (like Vance Joy’s We’re Going Home) will take over the director’s chair. The film will have Adam McKay and Kevin Messick of Hyperobject Industries producing.
While we do know that production is set to begin in January, we don’t know what the film is actually about, beyond that it’s a social thriller. Though, with the diverse and intriguing filmography of the stars, writer, and director, we’re pretty excited to see what story ends up being told.
We know it’s still tough to make any predictions, especially since the plot details are still a secret. Though, if you could design any social thriller with Sebastian Stan, what tale would you tell? Let us know in the comments!
