Deadpool And Korg Reaction Video Shows First MCU Crossover With The Anti-Hero
Even though Deadpool is technically a Marvel character, he was under Fox’s umbrella, meaning that he was not part of the MCU (the X-Men characters and Spider-Man also fall into this category). However, when Disney bought Fox back in 2019, fans started talking about the potential for long-awaited crossovers, including everyone’s favorite snarky anti-hero. Well, it looks like we finally have an MCU crossover thanks to a recent Deadpool and Korg reaction video.
What? A Deadpool-Korg Reaction Video?
Yep. The video (which already has 4.5 million views) shows Deadpool (played by Ryan Reynolds) parodying YouTube’s popular reaction videos along with his new friend, the MCU’s Korg (voiced by Taika Waititi). To make things even more meta, they’re reacting to Reynold’s upcoming movie, Free Guy, which is about a dude (Reynolds) who discovers that he’s actually a character in a video game. He teams up with one of the game’s programmers to take down the evil publisher (Waititi) and save the day.

It’s a brilliant reaction video and Deadpool and Korg rip into everything from Disney+ to the Deadpool movies themselves. They both fanboy over the appearance of Jodie Comer (Killing Eve) and Deadpool says, “I hope they don’t fridge her,” to which Korg replies, “What’s fridging?” Deadpool then pokes fun at Deadpool 2, explaining that fridging is when a female character is killed or hurt in order to motivate or torture the main character, or as he quips, “Also known as Deadpool 2, thanks for asking.” They even poke fun at their actor selves, with Korg saying that Taika Waikiki “seems quite nice” and Deadpool declaring Guy’s face “punchable.”
We already know that Deadpool 3 is happening and it’ll be part of the MCU, but after seeing this, it seems more likely that we’ll be seeing Deadpool interacting with some of our favorite MCU characters. I can only hope that Deadpool won’t follow Korg’s “tips” for getting into the MCU and he won’t have to resort to Thor’s Dark World as a backup. OR maybe this was a hint that Deadpool will appear in Love and Thunder?! Make it happen Taika!

Free Guy will be out in theaters (NOT STREAMING, as the video states) on August 13.
