The various worlds of nerd-dom are, in many ways, structured around the phenomenon that is Dungeons & Dragons. The massive and classic roleplaying game is very much the progenitor of all things geek. Its foundations are in bringing together generations of fans into the worlds of fiction, fantasy, action, and gaming. While I admittedly didn’t know much about the game going into this podcast, I didn’t have to. Which is the genius behind the guest on this episode of The Comic Years Podcast. Joining Joshua M. Patton and myself is Eric Silver from the Join The Party podcast, where he plays Dungeons & Dragons, for the masses. Eric breaks down his love for D&D, and how he’s making it easier for a new generation of fans to discover this massive interactive experience through his podcast.

It’s a Podcast crossover event as we have on the show, a professional Podcaster himself. Eric Silver hosts Join The Party, which is a Dungeons & Dragons podcast the players participate in an entire campaign over several episodes. On air. For the consumption of the masses. It’s a unique concept where the listeners follow along with a game in progress. Getting a hold of Eric for this show, we pick his brain about how he developed the Podcast. Eric is gracious enough to break down who his show is for, and his creative process, and just how the second campaign came together. He definitely sells me on Join The Party as an aspiring D&D player. Not to mention, making it easy for newcomers to the medium.
