We are living in the world of The Wheel Of Time! The highly anticipated novel series adaptation is finally here and it’s all the rage. Many hold the novel as the ones that made other fantasy novels like Game Of Thrones possible, even though the series itself is a little late to the TV adaptation game. With episodes releasing weekly on Amazon Prime Video, our Book Editor Emily O’Donnell is diligently covering every episode on ComicYears.com. But she now sits down with Jessica Kanzler, one of our Feature writers, for this The Wheel Of Time premiere episodes podcast review, for a more detailed conversation.

Please note: This The Wheel Of Time premiere episodes podcast will be full of spoilers for the first four episodes of the new series.

When Emily last sat down with Jessica, they discussed The Wheel Of Time novel series. Their conversations introduced newcomers to the series, with discussions on the topic, themes and characters. They also credited the book series for paving the way for others. The most successful of them are stories like Game Of Thrones.

The ladies also discussed how difficult any fantasy series adaptation has been to make onto film or TV. Speaking of the aforementioned Game Of Thrones itself, the last season of the HBO original soured many long-time fans. But Emily and Jessica remained hopeful. And now, they return on this The Wheel Of Time premiere episodes podcast to discuss if their hopes were warranted, or dashed.

Now that the show is out on Amazon Prime Video, releasing episodes weekly, Emily and Jessica can fully get into it. On this premiere episode podcast, the ladies see if the show lives up to their, and more importantly, the fandom’s expectations. As with any IP with a built-in fanbase, it’s difficult to please everyone. So Emily and Jessica discuss those finer points, as well as how changes to the show from the books will affect the rest of the story in the upcoming episodes.
