We start this episode running down the effect that the COVID-19 pandemic had on the gaming industry back in 2020. Taylor provides some insight into the challenges of creating video games, and its impact well into 2021. Not to mention the biggest takeaways from the past year in the video gaming industry. I put Taylor on the spot without his knowledge and have him choose a side in the console wars.
The Most Anticipated Video Games Of 2021
Taylor’s list of most anticipated video games of 2021 includes the latest sequel to a massively popular fantasy game, with many upgrades. The next entry on Taylor’s list is kind of surprising, given that it’s a game and movie franchise that people see as too kiddy or immature. I’m also kind of surprised with some of Taylor’s later entries which I hadn’t even heard about until this episode. The list ends with the sequel to a classic shooter-style game that I am very familiar with. So always good to end on a recognizable note.
