The Flash film had quite a few hiccups in its development, between the problems with the directors and the problems caused by Ezra Miller. However, after his recovery therapies and some modifications in the production, James Gunn, one of DC’s directors, said it is the best superhero production.

The movie will be officially released on June 16, 2023. This production will bring several versions of Flash, including an evil version of the speedster. James Gunn also mentioned that this movie will be the official reboot of the Multiverse at DC, which would pave the way for this new chapter.

The release of The Flash, the Scarlet speedster’s first solo film, is just a short time away. The movie was on the hot seat because of Ezra Miller’s legal problems. The actor starred in incidents in both Hawaii and Vermont, even going to court. However, treatments for the actor’s alleged mental illness seem to be working, positively impacting the film.

On this, Peter Safran commented on the development of Miller’s treatment stating, “Ezra is completely committed to their recovery, and we are fully supportive of that journey that they’re on right now. When the time is right, when they feel like they’re ready to have the discussion, we’ll all figure out what the best path forward is. But right now, they are completely focused on their recovery. And in our conversations with them over the last couple of months, it feels like they’re making enormous progress”.

Gunn also mentioned that The Flash is the best DC film and will be the second of the last four DCEU productions. This production will open the story of the multiverse, showing several versions of the Flash, including Savitar, an evil remnant of Barry Allen.

The order of the next productions we will have will be Shazam 2, then The Flash, Blue Beetle and finally Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Gunn commented that all four movies are great, although he highlighted The Flash film above them. He also asserted that those films’ main characters have an open door for the new DC storyline.

On January 31, we finally learned that Gunn and Safran already have ten titles ready for the new version of DC. The first chapter’s title already has a name: Gods and Monsters. The first movie we will see will be Superman, which already has a release date planned for 2025.

The events would give this new opening we would see in The Flash film, when the speedster travels through time and changes history. This will generate a prequel with Wonder Woman, showing a new origin of the Amazons and this heroine. It would also show a new Batman who would have as a companion Damian Grayson, his quick-tempered and impulsive son.

We would also see the origin of not-so-main characters like Swamp Thing. This causes curiosity about how Gunn and Safran will change each character’s plot after the events in The Flash film.
