Namor Will Be A Mutant In Black Panther 2, Actor Confirms

The audience has high expectations for the movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. One of the reasons for this is the appearance of several new characters, such as Ironheart, who will participate significantly in the movie. Another element we will see is the appearance of Namor, who will be the villain of this sequel. This character of marine origin will seek to destroy Wakanda, although he may do it indirectly. This villain is a very old Marvel character, and since his appearance was confirmed, he has been stealing the headlines. The actor who plays him has confirmed that Namor will be a mutant in Black Panther 2.

Tenoch Huerta, who will play the villain, caused a furor on social media by revealing details of his character. He highlighted features that would affect not only the character and the movie but other elements of the MCU. The information given by Tenoch Huerta, the actor who plays Namor in Black Panther 2, is that he will be a mutant. The actor said this in an interview with Empire, expressing that he represents a half mutant of the MCU. This revelation confirmed the theory that many fans were making about the character.

In the interview, Huerta was promoting the movie, and the interviewer asked him for more details about his character. He replied, “One detail that carries over from the comics? According to Huerta, his Namor is in fact a mutant”. 

Readers should note that Namor is a mutant in the world of Marvel comics. The House of Ideas listed him as the “first mutant.” This villain appeared in the Earth 616 version, the first in Marvel Comics and the second in streaming. The first mutant revealed in the MCU was Ms. Marvel at the end of her series on Disney+.

Mentioning the mutant term makes a lot of noise in the X-Men franchise. Fans are waiting for a new production of this fantastic saga. However, they are not very happy with the new name given to the Mutants, even though it is the original name that Stan Lee gave.

There are some comments on whether this is a pre-opening for the release of the mutants movie. Now that we know that Namor will be a mutant, there would already be two of these confirmed in the MCU, Namor and Ms. Marvel.

The movie takes place in Wakanda, where its people suffer from their King’s loss. The trailer shows them bidding farewell to T’challa with songs, verses, plays, and tears for his family, friends, and loved ones. However, war threatens the kingdom, and the queen herself is seen turning to the United Nations for help.

Namor will start a war with Wakanda. This character will be a mutant and the King of the underwater world of Talocan. Talocan will attack the kingdom with all his power, and T’challa’s friends and family will defend it with everything they have. Ironheart, a kind of Iron Man’s ward, will appear in this production with his armor.

The movie will pay tribute to Chadwick Boseman, the actor who played the role of Black Panther. The actor died of cancer after the first movie of this saga was released. For this reason, Disney and Marvel prepared a tribute to him, linked to the King’s funeral.

As for the film’s cast, we have Letitia Wright, Danai Gurira, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, Dominique Thorne, Danai Gurira, Michaela Coel, Martin Freeman, Angela Bassett, and Tenoch Huerta. We also find Isaach de Bankolé, Dorothy Steel, Connie Chiume, and Danny Sapani, who play the role of the wise men of the river.

Black Panther 2 will be released in theaters this November 11, after many delays due to the pandemic. It is rumored that Chadwick Boseman’s replacement as Black Panther will appear in the movie. Although we do not yet know who will be the actor or actress will take over, many fans point out that it will be his sister, Suri.
