The Guardians of the Galaxy are a group of superheroes that originally appeared in comic books. These characters were not very well known but gained worldwide fame thanks to the movie directed by James Gunn in 2014. The sequel, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, was also a huge success. We are all looking forward to the Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas Special, where there will be a crossover with the Eternals. Some images have come to light where Mantis and Drax roam Hollywood. Let’s analyze them.

New images from the filming of the Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas Special have just been released. In them, we can see Mantis in the same look from the previous movies, while Dave Bautista’s character has a new look. On the set, there is also a nod to The Eternals.

A few days ago, James Gunn hinted at the imminent conclusion of the Guardians of the Galaxy special shooting. Now we have as a gift some photos of this production, which will consist of a Christmas special for Disney Plus. Specifically, Daily Mail captured Dave Bautista and Pom Klementieff in full character as Drax and Mantis. The actors were on set for the filming of a scene in the Hollywood Boulevard section of California.

Drax will have a slightly different look and will now wear a jacket instead of his bare torso, while Mantis will keep the same outfit she wore in her previous appearances. But as Drax’s new outfit had already been anticipated, that’s not the most striking thing about these photos. That spot certainly goes to the scene’s setting that shows both Guardians contemplating the Christmas atmosphere outside what is a museum with life-size figures.

Also, while we can infer only Mantis and Drax’s actions in these images, a video from the shoot indicates that both characters will have to be cornered by a group of fans as they roam the city.

What We Know So Far About the Next Guardians of the Galaxy Film

A few days ago, the film’s director James Gunn, responded via his Instagram account to a comment revealing only eight days of shooting left. This statement was on April 25th, so we can say that the filming is almost complete.

What we will see in the next movie about this group of space travelers is unknown. However, we can approximate the synopsis based on some comments made by the director during the last months.

This movie will culminate the tales of the Guardians of the Galaxy, which began in 2014. We know this in part thanks to statements made by Dave Bautista himself, who plays the character of Drax. The former wrestler stated that he no longer wanted to continue playing the character.

Another story arc we are sure to see in the film is the origin of Rocket. This funny, intelligent raccoon (voiced by Vin Diesel) does not yet have an origin story within the UCM. The film’s director stated that he would like to finish this character’s arc in the next film.

The film’s villain could be Adam Warlock, a character whose birth we saw in the post-credits scene of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. This villain will likely be the main threat to Star Lord and his companions in this third film.

Will Poulter cast as adam warlock, guardians of the galaxy vol 3, sean gunn, marvel studios, marvel comics, maze runner, detroit, son of rambow, infinity saga, thanos

Another point that the movie may touch upon is the relationship with Thor. If we remember, the last appearance of the Guardians was in Avengers: Endgame, and Thor were leaving with them. However, we will see before the movie of the God of Thunder and a new appearance of Star Lord and his team.
