Martin Scorsese’s Killers Of The Flower Moon Trailer Released!

Filmmaker Martin Scorsese’s new movie, Killers of the Flower Moon, now has a trailer. This film brought together Scorsese’s two favorite artists, Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro. Dicaprio worked in several Scorsese productions, such as The Aviator and The Wolf of Wall Street. For his part, Niro’s work with the director dates back to the 1970s with the film Taxi Driver.

The Killers of the Flower Moon trailer features these two actors and academy-award winner Brendan Fraser. The video, which shows part of the film’s plot, details the killings of the Osage tribe for oil resources. In addition, we will see the origin of the FBI as an investigative organization.

Killers of the Flower Moon Trailer Details

The teaser trailer, presented at the Cannes Film Festival, shows how the Osage tribe finds the oilfields by accident, which generates the interest of many. Later, we see how Ernest Burkhart, the character played by Leonardo DiCaprio, arrives in Oklahoma wearing an excavator or explorer suit.

Scorsese shows us how Burkhart has a great interest in the Osage culture and shows him reading several books on this indigenous tribe. Later, we see how he works as a driver for a member of this tribe, who would later become his wife. However, we see how several crimes start to take place in his environment, especially from members of the group above.

The Killers of the Flower Moon trailer continues with Robert De Niro as the businessman Willian Hale, who seeks, by all means, to take over the tribe’s territory and resources. We see several scenes that hint at the murders in the 1920s in the town mentioned above, which filled this locality with terror.

We also see the investigations that led to the culmination of the case and resulted in the FBI’s birth. Jesse Plemons’ investigator Tom White was the one who took the reins of the case with several interrogations.

The last part of the trailer shows how White makes a challenging process for Ernest Burkhart, which takes him almost to the limit. He also seems to accuse or at least interrogate De Niro’s, William Hale. However, the latter seems relaxed in the presence of his lawyer, played by Brendan Fraser.

The trailer shows us part of the murders involving poisoning, beatings, riddling with machine guns, and knife attacks from behind.

A Reunion of Great Actors

The film brings together several renowned actors, and 2 of them have a significant history with filmmaker Martin Scorsese. Robert De Niro, for example, has nine productions with the director, from the film Taxi Driver in 1976 to The Irishman, released in 2019.

DiCaprio also has a history with Martin Scorsese. Considering the number of films they worked on, he can be considered his new favorite actor. They have to date six movies, among which stand out The Aviator, The Departed and Gangs of New York.

It is unprecedented that two artists of this caliber and with so much history with the filmmaker are reunited in a single production. This demonstrates the scope and importance of this Apple TV + film to Scorsese. As mentioned, it was presented at the Cannes Film Festival, an event the director has not attended since 1986.

Not only the presence of DiCaprio and De Niro is remarkable, but there is also the participation of Brendan Fraser, the Oscar winner as best actor for his performance in The Whale. Killers of the Flower Moon also stars Jesse Plemons as Detective Tom White and Lily Gladstone as Mollie Burkhart.

The film’s official release will be on October 6, 2023, with a limited theatrical release and then on the Apple TV + platform. It has a running time of 3 hours and 26 minutes, making it the longest-running film in the history of Leonardo DiCaprio, replacing Titanic, which had 196 min.
