Jurassic World Dominion Featurette Previews Major Thrills

Universal Pictures released a new preview for Jurassic World Dominion today. This video reveals a ton of exciting details about the film. The movie, which is the latest part of the Jurassic Park franchise, deals with the effect of the team releasing dinosaurs into the human world. It also marks the end of the Jurassic World series of films, a sequel series that began in 2018.

Like the previous films in the trilogy, Jurassic World Dominion stars actor Chris Pratt as Owen Grady and Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing. Additionally, the film features the return of Lauren Dern, Sam Neill, and Jeff Goldblum in their roles in the original 1993 film. Derek Connolly came up with the story for Jurassic World Dominion, and Emily Carmichael worked on the script.

This is the very first time that fans have seen the original Jurassic Park trio back in action. Previously, Dr. Grant and Dr. Sattler appeared in Jurassic Park 3. However, the last time we saw Dr. Malcolm was in a cameo role for Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom. Fans can expect each of the trio to have far greater roles in Jurassic World Dominion.

Just like with the previous entries in the trilogy, Colin Trevorrow is directing the film. Fans are sure to be in for a great film! The story opens with a time jump, taking place approximately four years after Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom. As a result, the idea of dinosaurs in the human world has become somewhat “normal”. Seeing dinosaurs in the wild has become part of human life.

What We Know about Jurassic World Dominion

In the latest film, the three iconic doctors will team up with the crew from the Jurassic World trilogy to fight a whole new wave of dinosaurs. Some of these latest dinos include the Atrociraptor, Quetzalcoatlus, and Oviraptor. There’s even a new one that seems ready to rival the T-rex – the Giganotosaurus!

Additionally, the newest featurette for Jurassic World Dominion revealed some more details about the plot. Fans have been waiting for such news for a while, and Universal did not disappoint! In the video, Trevorrow discusses how the final entry in the trilogy allows them to bring entirely new things to the franchise. He spoke about how the film is “the culmination of the franchise.”

On top of this, both Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum discussed how they’ve “never seen action like this ever.” They even referenced the new dinosaurs by describing them as “the most scary and awesome dinosaurs you’ve ever seen.” We’re sure to be in for a ride with Jurassic World Dominion!

How Jurassic World Dominion Compares

Unlike the other films in the series, the whole world is the filmmaker’s oyster with Jurassic World Dominion. The other films featured a cast stuck in an enclosed area, but this film features dinosaurs from all over the planet. However, judging by the last feature, we can be sure that there will still be some cramped areas to heighten the tension. Otherwise, it would just be too easy!

Judging by the feature, it seems that the gang is forced to go traveling around the world. Apparently, they are searching for Blue the raptor’s baby. We can guess that this takes them to the streets of a European country, where Owen is made to flee a raptor – while riding a motorcycle! There’s clearly a ton of action under Trevorrow’s sleeves, and we just can’t wait to see it.

The End of an Era?

However, there’s also some sad news ahead. Chris Pratt claimed that Jurassic World Dominion was the final film in the Jurassic Park franchise. If so, it seems like it will be going out in a blaze of glory. It’s been over 30 years since the first film was released, so it makes sense if Universal wants to end the film series.

Despite this, it’s possible we’ll see the film continue in some form, whether it be through comics, TV series, or else. After all, the film franchise has made over $5 billion. That’s not something that Universal will be willing to give away soon! Whatever form the franchise continues in, we can be sure that it’ll be great.
