Marvel Studios Has Announced Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Digital Release On Disney+

Disney announced that The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 digital release will be available for purchase from July 7, 2023. This indicated that it will be available through various online platforms, including Disney +, its streaming site.

Besides this, on August 7, 2023, the physical edition 4K, Ultra HD, Blu Rays and DVD will be available. This will end the saga that began in 2014 when the criminals first met in prison.

In this third installment, we will see the end of several stories, although it has a special focus on Rocket. This production reveals Rocket Raccoon’s origin through the High Evolutionary. We will also see the battle of the group against Adam Warlock. To heal him, the group must go to his creator, the High Evolutionary, who is unhappy after his greatest creation hurt him and then ran away.

This initiates a battle between the group with this villain that culminates in releasing the other animals he had in his lab and the scientist defeated by the Guardians. However, some team members have to deal with other personal problems. First, we have Quill dealing with the fact that the Gamora who appears in his reality is not the one he loves. In the end, he lets her go with the Devastators.

Another interesting ending when Mantis learn is Quill’s sister in the Holiday Special. She feels she can’t make decisions and leaves the team to find her own way. Star-Lord also abandons them and returns to Earth to verify if his grandfather is still alive.

Rocket ends the story as the team leader with new members. One of them is Cosmo, a dog sent by the Soviet Union to space and acquired telekinetic powers.

This Will be the Last Installment of the Star-Lord Team

One of the existing doubts is whether this digital and physical delivery will be the last release of the Guardians of the Galaxy. There will likely be other productions, and Star-Lord will be able to reunite again with his team and help the Galaxy. In fact, comments from James Gunn and Chris Pratt would indicate that it could happen.

However, there will be several distinctions, as is the case with the direction Gunn was in charge of guiding the entire franchise; however, he now holds a managerial position with DC, along with Peter Safran, which prevents him from making another production of this franchise.

This would make sense, considering that there are still several Avengers crossovers that could trigger it. For example, in The Kang Dynasty, it may cause the team to go to Earth to help Quill in the face of the attack of such a powerful character.
