The worldwide success of The Batman made DC fans start to be more and more anxious for all the new productions that would debut next. However, a few weeks ago, Warner Bros announced that these would significantly delay their release dates.
The affected films are Black Adam, Aquaman, the Lost Kingdom, and The Flash, now set for October 21, 2022, March 17, 2023, and June 23, 2023, respectively.
The latter could have a new modification and not of its premiere, but instead of the change in the protagonist. Based on the Flashpoint comic book and will bring back the Batman of Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton, the film will star Ezra Miller. However, this could change.
The Rumored Actor to Play the Speedster
It’s no secret that Miller’s controversies have played tricks on his future productions. We have witnessed several recent incidents involving the actor in complicated situations. Miller has been involved in altercations with repeated physical and verbal assaults. This behavior may have prompted Warner to take steps to remove the actor from their ranks. According to Screen Geek, Warner Bros. is considering its options to replace the actor.

Secrecy From Warner Bros.
The Flash’s delay is unprecedented in DCU productions. We were already able to enjoy the first trailer for the film at the DC Fandom in October 2021. This first footage indicated that the project was at a very advanced stage. The delay was announced almost six months after this first teaser, leading fans to suspect that there might be some big changes. The most significant difference we can think of is Ezra Miller’s replacement. The replacement of the main actor would mean reshoots, which would explain why such a big delay in the film’s release.
The truth is that Warner Bros. has not made any statement on the matter, so all this would only be rumors. Nor have they made official statements about the actor’s absence in official promotions. Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore was recently released, where Miller has a supporting role. The actor did not participate in any promotional activities for the film, apparently because of his problems with the law.
In the absence of official statements from Warner, the fans and some insiders are offering this information. They have also been commenting that Grant Gustin has also been considered for some time. This actor already played a version of The Flash for The CW’s Arrowverse.
