There are rumors among Fantastic Four fans claiming Doctor Doom could appear in the movie Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever.

Something that many fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe had been waiting for is to see the Fantastic Four. We should remember that, until recently, 20th Century Fox owned the rights to these characters, their villains, and supporting heroes. These included Galactus the Planet Eater, his vassal and later enemy Silver Surfer, and Doctor Doom himself.

Disney regained these rights, which are now available to put on the big screen. We’ve heard numerous rumors about a Fantastic Four reboot and what characters would be involved in this movie. However, Howard Stern seems to have accidentally confirmed that he will be working in a Doctor Doom film, and fans are wondering if it would serve as a bridge between Black Panther and a new Fantastic Four movie.

Doctor Doom In Black Panther 2

Although Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever is already filmed, telling the battle between Wakanda and Atlantis, it is possible that Doctor Doom will appear in a post-credits scene. Maybe the Fantastic Four villain provoked the war between these two nations to favor his nation Latveria.

This scene would open several possibilities, starting if the Fantastic 4 movie would be a prequel to this scene. There is a  possibility that in this first movie we will see the origin of the Fantastic 4, Doctor Doom, and the very enmity between the villain and the group of heroes.

Many fans have commented on the matter, most of them highlighting the low chances of this happening. Some detail the fact that the Doom could appear in the post-credits. Others claim that the movie is ready and that there is no chance of the villain’s appearance in Black Panther 2, which will be released on November 11, 2022.

Howard Stern Joining The MCU?

Now, the biggest rumor on the air today revolves around Doctor Doom and Howard Stern. During a break from his radio show, Stern accidentally left his mic on and listeners heard what appeared to be a conversation revolving around him joining a Marvel movie. He would say that this summer he would appear in a Marvel production, portraying Doctor Doom.

Twitter user @bringbackjackie transcribed the leaked conversation from the following audio:

Monkey: “Ok, Kevin Feigeman (sp) from the office called and wants to know if that schedule works for you.”
Robin: “Kevin Feigeman, I’ve never heard that name before.”
Murray: “I think he means Kevin…”
Stern: “Kevin Feige, Gary. Tell him it works but they’re going over the schedule with me and it’s gonna suck.”
Robin to Stern: “Are you working this summer?”
Stern: “Well, I’m gonna do ‘Doctor Doom.’ But believe me, I’m f*king miserable about it.”

Following this, Twitter users like @dano_cosmic stated their opinions on Stern’s accidental(?) slip, stating that they are not buying that this is true:

There is no confirmation (or denial) from Marvel, Kevin Feige, or Howard Stern regarding this, but if they are making a Doctor Doom movie, then it’s likely that Fantastic Four is in the making as well. Doctor Doom is one of the main archenemies of the Fantastic Four, his obsession with conquering everything and his hunger for power and glory make him a big part of this group and its history.

We already saw Doctor Doom in the two films Fox made at the time. Is it necessary for the reboot to include a renewed Doctor Doom, or is it better if they give him a solo movie first? And why is Kevin Feige considering Howard Stern to play this part?
