Chadwick Boseman legacy Discussed By Black Panther Cast
We heard about Chadwick Boseman legacy and influence from the Black Panther cast. The release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is officially one month away, and while anticipation is strong, there is also a sense of melancholy as the cast of the film and Chadwick Boseman’s fans look forward to paying tribute to his memory with the eagerly awaited sequel. The cast of Black Panther and director Ryan Coogler discuss paying tribute to the late actor and his desire to “inspire the globe” in a new featurette. Two official trailers came out for the Black Panther 2 movie, and both served us emotionally.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever focuses on the aftermath of King T’Challa’s demise
The plot delves further into the secret world of Wakanda after Chadwick Boseman’s death from cancer in August 2020. This is according to a statement from Marvel Studios. “I would spend time with him, just he and I, talking about where we would want to see the story go, how much he admired the other characters and the actors that portrayed them.” said Coogler, who not only directed the 2018 movie but was also good friends with Chadwick Boseman. He even considered quitting at some point. The actress Angela Bassett, who portrays Queen Ramonda in the Wakanda Forever trailers and is the mother of T’Challa and Shuri, believes that the public has embraced Wakanda and Black Panther. She also added that, “Chadwick, he knew exactly what this story, what these images meant to the world.”
The country will be in grief in the upcoming film, but it will also be preparing to take on new challenges and forge a new path for the kingdom. The actor who portrays the war-dog Nakia, Lupita Nyong’o, says it was really poignant for the cast and crew to return to Wakanda and “to be able to do it with a sense of celebration.” While the possibility of a new Black Panther looms big, the trailers suggest that Wakanda is vulnerable as a result of its opening to the outside world and is primarily attempting to safeguard Vibranium from falling into the wrong hands. Shuri’s actor Letitia Wright considers the other conflict that is developing.
“There’s so much that’s happening in this movie. It’s amazing. So many new characters to explore. Just seeing the world of Wakanda again. And then now we’re going to this whole new world underwater.” She stated.
Alongside honoring Chadwick Boseman legacy, fans also get to see the first mutant in Marvel Comics
Despite the somewhat bittersweet talk of Chadwick Boseman legacy, there is much to be excited about. In the new feature, we delve deeply into Namor’s universe, Talocan. It’s the kingdom of the Submariner. In the upcoming film, the MCU debuts its first mutant, who is also revered as a god by his people. “Introducing Namor, it was a character we were really excited to portray in the film. Arguably, one of the oldest comic book characters that there is.” Says director Ryan Coogler. While Namor isn’t the main enemy in Wakanda Forever, he is undoubtedly an anti-hero who is angry that his kingdom has become exposed as a result of Wakanda’s opening up to the outside world. Namor and his army undoubtedly look menacing. Tenoch Huerta, who is portraying Namor, calls getting the chance to play such a role “a dream.”
I’m sure many of us might need tissues at the cinema watching this movie. What do you think about the Black Panther cast honoring Chadwick Boseman legacy? Hyped for the upcoming sequel? And what do you think of Namor? Did you like the first movie? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below.
