We have seen more release date changes over the past year than ever before in history. From delays and pushbacks to films being canceled altogether, the universe decided that it was time to get something in writing. Dwayne Johnson, star of DC’s latest heroic adventure, took to Instagram this week to give us the official Black Adam release date. So, we guess it’s time to start counting down to July 29th, 2022!
The Official Black Adam Release Date Is Set In Stone By The Rock
“The hierarchy of power in the DC universe is about to change,” Dwayne, “The Rock” Johnson, states ominously in a voiceover with Manhattan scenery, slowly turning to an official poster with July 29th, 2022 written upon it. This announcement comes hot on the trail of the announcement that Pierce Brosnan would be playing Dr. Fate in Black Adam. It also helps distract the world from the fact that Dwayne Johnson recently lost the bid to be named “World’s Sexiest Bald Man,” because of course, that’s a thing that people are upset about. (Oh, and by the way, it was Prince William that beat him.)
Readers, we know that the summer of 2022 feels like a long time to wait for such a promising film. However, if the coronavirus pandemic’s impact on film has proven anything, it’s that some films are worth waiting for.
