As Avatar: The Way of Water is breaking all the viewership records out there, we’re already hyped up for the upcoming sequels. Read on to find out the Avatar 3 plot, cast, and release date.

Avatar 3 Plot & Release Date

Avatar’s creator and director James Cameron already gave us many hints about the upcoming sequel. This includes details such as Avatar 3 plot, as well as release date and a part of cast. Firstly, we already know that Cameron already shot most of the Avatar 3, as well as parts of Avatar 4.

On the other hand, we do know that parts 4 and 5 of Avatar will suffer a big time jump into the fuure. Moreover, the majority of part 5 will take place on what’s left of planet Earth. This is how James Cameron plans on ultimately connecting parts 1 and 5. “In movie five there is a section of the story where we go to Earth. And we go to it to open people’s eyes, open Neytiri’s eyes, to what exists on Earth.”, says Jon Landau.

Secondly, the sequel about the Na’vi people will now take part amongst the Fire Na’vi people. In the first movie, we made connections with the Forest Na’vi people. In addition, the plot of the second movie took place among the Water Na’vi.

However, while the Water Na’vi were Jack Sully’s allies, the ‘Ash People’ will be the main antagonists in the upcoming movie. And with this in mind, we do have a major question about the plot. If the Fire Na’vi are Jack’s enemies, what about humans? Do they work together with humans?

James Cameron also confirmed that the narration part will move from Jack Sully to his son, Lo’ak. When it comes to the release date of Avatar 3, it will hit theatres across the world on December 20th in 2024.

Game of Thrones Star Oona Chaplin joins Avatar

Known for her role in Game of Thrones, Oona Chaplin is moving horizons with her talent. This time around, she will play the main antagonist and a key role in the Avatar 3 plot. Her character Varang will be the leader of the Fire Na’vi, also known as the Ash People.

“There are good humans and there are bad humans. It’s the same thing on the Na’vi side. Oftentimes, people don’t see themselves as bad. What is the root cause of how they evolve into what we perceive as bad? Maybe there are other factors there that we aren’t aware of”, explains Jon Landau, the Avatar producer.

The rest of the cast for Avatar 3 mostly resembles the cast of the previous one. We expect faces such as Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaever, Sam Worthington, Kate Winslet, and Britain Dalton to come back.
