Exciting news for Alita: Battle Angel movie fans!, after an anxious wait, it looks like we might finally be one step closer to witnessing a sequel to this epic film. The first installment left an indelible mark on viewers’ hearts and became a cult phenomenon with a passionate fan base worldwide. Despite this fervor, official approval for a sequel has yet to be given, mainly due to the property rights held by 20th Century Studios, formerly known as 20th Century Fox.

Now, there is reason to remain hopeful. The original film’s director, Robert Rodriguez, has shared news that promises a bright future for the Alita saga. After the merger between Disney and Fox, which initially created uncertainty about the franchise’s fate, the horizon seems to be clearing up. The possibility of an Alita sequel going into production is looming ever closer.

“Yeah, Jim and I always talk about how we’d love to do another Alita,” Rodriguez told TheWrap this week. “That studio was bought by another studio . They’re starting to make movies now. But that for a while 20th Century wasn’t making any of their movies. I think now you’re seeing a few rolling out. We would love to.”

It’s essential to remember that Rodriguez directed the first installment from a script. Masterfully crafted by James Cameron and Laeta Kalogridis. Earlier this year, Cameron not only confirmed the existence of sequels in the works. However, it even hinted at the possibility of expanding the Alita universe with a a sequel and multiple films. With Cameron’s Avatar franchise being one of 20th Century Studios’ most prized gems, it seems only a matter of time before this prolific filmmaker can greenlight more exciting Alita installments.

Robert and I had a conversation about it two weeks ago. We’re very excited about that prospect,”. Alita producer and frequent Cameron collaborator Jon Landau told us last year. “Alita is is a movie that even now having recently like re-watched it for what we had, we’re really proud of that movie. And we think that there are more stories to tell with her character and that’s why we want to go back to it.”

Looking Forward to Part Two Confirmation

While we anxiously await the official confirmation of Alita sequel, we can enjoy the first movie, which is already available on Hulu’s streaming platform. Alita fans can relive its adventures and thrills while keeping an eye on the news. Recent comments from the director may bring us closer to returning to the fascinating world of Alita: Battle Angel in an exciting new sequel.
