Ever since the TV show’s first season smashed, fans have been clamoring for The Mandalorian Game to become a reality. Well, judging by the rumors flying about the game, it seems like the wait might be coming to an end!

Of course, neither Disney nor Lucasfilm have officially confirmed anything about the game as of yet. However, there are some pretty reliable rumors suggesting that they are working on a Star Wars MMO game. This is supposedly going to be based on The Mandalorian, and Lucasfilm will release it exclusively on Xbox systems. An apparent leak from Xbox Game Studios is the cause for all this speculation.

However, one fan decided to take these rumors of The Mandalorian game to the next level. They made their own cover art for the game! This cover is pretty convincing, and we are honestly surprised that it’s not real. SGdrahman7 on Twitter is the one who created this fake box art, and we are in love with the design.

Clearly, this user put a lot of work into designing box art for The Mandalorian game. Even if the game does not turn out to be real, we are seriously impressed at the level of detail. They’ve made sure to match the spine art with the cover, and Mando’s look on the front is pretty impressive. They also included the “optimized for Series X” sticker, which is something that is very possible.

Details about the Mandalorian Game

As we already mentioned, we know very little about this alleged game – we don’t even know if it does exist. Nevertheless, the current rumors appear to suggest that fans will be able to play it only on Xbox devices. There’s no word of a port to other systems. Furthermore, we would be surprised if the game developers didn’t take advantage of the Xbox Series X’s improved specs for The Mandalorian game.

In terms of plot, the developers of the game likely want to avoid stepping on the toes of the TV show. So, The Mandalorian game will probably happen after the events of the first two seasons. Fans will likely see a ton of famous faces from the wider Star Wars franchise. We should definitely expect to see Grogu, for starters!

However, it’s also possible that The Mandalorian game will just happen at the same time as the TV show, and we won’t be able to play as any of the characters. Instead, maybe Mando and other individuals will be just cameo roles. After all, the show has only been on for two seasons, so it won’t be easy to create an MMO based on just this.

Future Star Wars Video Games

Although The Mandalorian game might just be a bunch of rumors at the moment, there are plenty of Star Wars video games that we do know are coming. EA’s license for the series expires in 2023, which is when we can expect Jedi: Fallen Order 2 to arrive. In the meantime, Ubisoft is developing an open-world Star Wars game, which will be a first for the series.

If that wasn’t enough, Aspyr is working on remaking the acclaimed game Knights of the Old Republic, which will definitely bring back memories for a ton of fans! It certainly feels like being a Star Wars fan has its merits at the moment, especially after all of the announcements for May the 4th.

Additionally, there will be an exclusive gaming panel at the Star Wars Celebration at the end of the month. We can expect to hear much more news about future games for the Star Wars franchise at this event. Perhaps we’ll even hear some more about The Mandalorian game and even get confirmation that game developers are working on it. Only time will tell at the moment, and we just can’t wait to find out more!
