Grand Theft Auto V is still relevant in 2021 some 8 years later. We know a next-gen version of the game is on the way this year, but the Xbox One/PS4 version holds up very well. It’s likely that most people own the game who love the series. For those who might not be huge fans, the game might still not be in your collection. The beauty of Game Pass is that a game like Grand Theft Auto V could become a favorite you would have missed otherwise. Plus, some fans who liked the game when it was last on Game Pass might be happy to see it return. And, if the Grand Theft Auto 6 leaks are true, we’re not getting a new installment for quite some time. The international hit game headlines a lineup of Game Pass games in April well worth the service’s monthly subscription fee. Here’s the upcoming lineup!

In the latest Xbox Wire announcementGrand Theft Auto V returning to Game Pass is certainly the headline. Closely, and I mean very closely, behind GTAV is the fact that MLB The Show 21 is coming on Day One to Game Pass. The series is a longtime Sony exclusive that’s arriving on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One thanks to a new deal. I’m a huge fan of this series dating back to the 2000s and I’m excited to play it on Xbox! Grand Theft Auto V arrives on Game Pass April 8. MLB The Show 21 releases and comes to Game Pass on April 20.

It’s kind of funny getting exciting about each month’s Game Pass additions because the heavy hitters grab your attention. April’s Game Pass additions are quite strong top to bottom, including cloud gaming additions. Here are the other games joining Game Pass in one form or another:

  • Zombie Army 4: Dead War (Cloud, Console, and PC) ID@Xbox – April 8
  • Disneyland Adventures (Cloud) – April 8
  • Rush: A Disney/Pixar Adventure (Cloud) – April 8
  • NHL 21 (Console) EA Play – April 12
  • Rain on Your Parade (Cloud, Console, and PC) ID@Xbox – April 15
  • Pathway (PC) ID@Xbox – April 15

I can vouch for everything but Rain on Your Parade and Pathway. The other games are well worth a download if they interest you. Disneyland Adventures in particular is a lot of fun for Disney superfans like myself. Great to see NHL 21 coming thanks to the EA Play games deal with Xbox Game Pass.

What’s on your radar with these latest additions to Game Pass? If you have one you’re extra excited to play, then let us know in the comments!
