Battlefront 2 Free on the Epic Games Store
I’ve long sung praises for the way EA redeemed Star Wars Battlefront 2. What could have been a massive disaster turned into one of my favorite multiplayer shooters. If you haven’t checked out the game, then you might have a chance on PC. If you want to know how to grab Battlefront 2 free on the Epic Games Store, here’s what you need to know.
Why is Battlefront 2 Free on the Epic Games Store?

No, this isn’t some marketing pitch for a new Battlefront game. Simply put, you can find Battlefront 2 free on the Epic Games Store right now by chance. Epic regularly features great games on their store for free simply to draw people to the platform. With Steam having a bit of a head start in the online games store market, it’s a good way to catch up. Furthermore, if you haven’t played these games, then it’s hard to say no when they are free. There are a few things you should know first.
Firstly, you’ll need an Epic Games Store account. This helps you keep track of all your purchases. It’s easy and free to sign up. Secondly, the game isn’t just the base game. This is actually the Celebration Edition that features all the add-ons from the game up to a certain point. It’s a great bargain. Thirdly, if you have the base game on the Epic Games Store, then this will allow you to upgrade to the Celebration Edition for free. It’s been confirmed to work by a few Reddit users. Lastly, you have a limited time to grab this deal for free. The “sale” goes through January 21 at 10 a.m.
Is the Game Still Active for Multiplayer Modes

Thanks to the game’s player base and the fact it’s a Star Wars game, the multiplayer modes are still very active. Even on consoles, you can find games quite easily. There are a lot of great modes to check out, essentially allowing you to live out your own Star Wars battles. It’s a blast to get to play as the normal Stormtroopers or Rebels, but when you score enough points, you get even more options. Play as Obi-Wan from the prequels, Darth Vader, or even Yoda across a few different points in his life.
Even if you’re a little interested in this game, I’d recommend it. I come back to it often when I want something to do for a little bit of time. There’s no doubt that the free status on the Epic Games Store will also lead to more players in the game. That’s great news for anyone hoping it stays active for awhile, even as new Star Wars game plans develop. If you give it a try, then let us know what you think in the comments!
