Final Trailer For Zack Snyder’s Justice League Shows Us What’s To Come In Full Color
In one month and four days, the Zack Snyder cut of Justice League will debut on HBO Max. Eight months ago, the director announced that he had reached a deal with Warner Bros. to finally realize his vision for the film he had to leave after suffering a personal tragedy. Joss Whedon, fresh off his success with the Avengers films, came in to finish, but that started its own trouble as revealed by Ray Fisher. So, just when it seemed like Warner Bros. efforts to duplicate the MCU’s success remained doomed to fail, circumstances aligned and now Zack Snyder’s Justice League debuted its final trailer before debuting on HBO Max.

What’s unique about this trailer is that, for the first time, we get to see the movie in living color. Up until now, most of what we’ve seen (outside of Superman’s black suit) has been in greyscale. Of course, the color palette is very similar to what we saw in Snyder’s previous DCEU films, muted and dark with the only bright spots coming from displays of power. We also get a few glimpses at what appears to be the Knightmare sequence in the film, including an extended look at Jared Leto’s Joker. The Joker also speaks in the trailer, literally saying “We live in a society,” which can only be a direct reference to the 2019 Joker meme.
We also catch glimpses of scenes that are unfamiliar, such as the utter destruction of a huge temple in Themiscyra. However, we also see new versions of familiar scenes (but with changes) such as when the Justice League fights off parademons in the sewers. All in all, it’s a thrilling trailer that makes us excited to see this new version.
As the final trailer confirms, Zack Snyder’s Justice League debuts on HBO Max on March 18, 2021.
