Titanic Star Kate Winslet to Join the Cast of The Palace by HBO

HBO just started the production of their brand new TV series titled The Palace. The show’s main character will be portrayed by the one and only Titanic star Kate Winslet. Read on to find out more about HBO’s upcoming series.

Titanic Star Kate Winslet is a Rising Star

The Titanic star Kate Winslet started her acting career back in the mid-1990s. Despite this fact, she’s only now gaining the momentum she deserves. From starring in Avatar 2 alongside Zoe Saldaña to starring on her own in HBO’s TV series The Palace, her success as an actress is undeniable.

Kate Winslet has been one of the most popular actresses of the 21st century. Some of her most known projects include Titanic, Contagion, Labor Day, Black Bird, and Collateral Beauty.

The Palace is the fourth collaboration between HBO and Kate Winslet. Namely, the two parties worked on three more HBO limited series. These are Trust, Mare of Easttown, and Mildred Pierce. Moreover, two of these main roles already earned Kate Winslet Emmy awards for the best actress.

Just days ago, HBO dropped the first images from the set of The Palace. With the Titanic star Kate Winslet in the main role, the show already looks promising.

The new political drama will most likely take place in Switzerland (and/or Austria). As far as we know, it will showcase the authoritarian regime in 20th century Europe.

While we still don’t know which female politician the Titanic star Kate Winslet will play, here are our guesses. Therefore, in the history of Switzerland, Elisabeth Kopp and Ruth Dreifuss changed the course of the federal laws.

Moreover, Ruth Dreifuss was also elected as the president of Switzerland. On the other hand, if the show decides to follow the 21st century women, we may see the stories of Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf or Simonetta Sommaruga.

Will Tracy will fill the spots for the writer, executive producer, and the showrunner. Moreover, the Titanic star Kate Winslet will join the production team. In addition, we will witness the works of Frank Rich and Tracey Seaward as executive producers.

The shooting for The Palace began in the first half of February. Moreover, some of the familiar faces that will star in the series include Hugh Grant, Guillaume Gallienne, Andrea Riseborough, and Matthias Schoenaerts.

However, we still don’t know the official release date. Our guess is late 2023 or spring of 2024. Unfortunately, this is all we know so far! Stay tuned to find out more.
