The Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2024 winners have officially been revealed!

Crunchyroll’s awarding ceremony took place on Saturday, streaming globally at 6:00 p.m. JST (4:00 a.m. EST) via the company’s YouTube and Twitch channels. A host of celebrity guests graced the Orange Carpet. The stars presented prestigious awards across 32 categories this year. 

The event kicked off with a spectacular performance of the Anime Awards’ new theme song.  Hiroyuki Sawano (known for Attack on Titan and Solo Leveling) and Kohta Yamamoto (also from Attack on Titan and The Seven Deadly Sins) had their debut performance. 

Jujutsu Kaisen Wins Anime of the Year Title

Chainsaw Man and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc were standout winners this year, each taking home several awards. Demon Slayer was highly praised for the animation and style. However, Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 dominated the night, securing accolades for Best Character Design, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Action, Best Supporting Character, and Best Opening Sequence. Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 ultimately won the coveted title of Anime of the Year.

One Piece stood out as the best continuing series, while Chainsaw Man received the award for the best new series. Additionally, Horimiya: The Missing Pieces came out on top as the best romance. 

On the other hand, Attack on Titan Season 4 won the Best Drama award, as well as the Best Score. Yūichi Nakamura, the famous voice Satoru Gojo voice actor, won the first place in the Best Voice Artist Perfomance category (Japanese). Similarly, Ryan Colt Levy won across the Best Voice Artist Performance category (English) for his performance as Denji in Chainsaw Man.
